Excerpt:

I inhaled sharply, my eyes fluttering open. The nightmare shattered into pieces, falling around me like sand in the wind.

“Oof!” My body flew off the ground, wrenched by a tremendous force, and I looked around, bewildered, the world spinning, my heart jolting. Searing pain washed over my back and my muscles seized up, rendering them useless.

Chains cut into my flesh where I had been hoisted by the wrists and left dangling, suspended in air with no relief from the gravity that pulled at my shredded body. I groaned and hung limply, kicking my feet in a vain effort to find a surface. My arms and body were bare except for a loose, white cloth tied haphazardly around my pelvis. I hung from the ceiling in a small, sandstone room. It was plain and unremarkable with a simple wooden door at the end. I coughed and spat blood onto the floor, my throat parched.

Fingers snapped. “Here, here, fool! I tell you, the prisoners delivered here are getting feebler-minded by the batch.” A gruff, cacophonous voice met my ears. Spiteful chuckles followed.

Three men stood before me. Two wore sand-colored linen shirts and had clean-shaven faces. Crusted and compassionless, they stared at me, coarse and unexceptional. I frowned, noticing they had no weapons in their hands or strapped to their bodies. These sorry-looking fools don’t look like guards. Why are they here? My attention turned to the third man. His dark gray hair set off fierce, hazel eyes. Of the men in the room, only his physique spoke of power, and with brawny, thick muscles and clean, white robes, he appeared to be in some sort of position above the other men.

He grinned and spat onto the floor. “Good morning, mutt. We came to say hello and make sure you were breathing.”

My Review:

Why aren't there more books like My Lady's Choosing?
And, what I mean by that?
Interactive novels, where you are the heroine and choose your own path among sometimes hard options, dealing with action, sexy potential romantic interests and a lot of suspense to see where your next move will take you.

I decided to write my review after the very first adventure I went on, because I was very impressed by this book, but I definitely know that it can offer whole evenings full of endless adventures and steamy interactions.

In fact, the very first adventure I embarked on included a sexy Scots man, whose motives and actions weren't always clear, a lot of intrigue with dangerous and tricky (and very, very hard) options available (I honestly still wonder how I made it out of all this alive AND with a happy ending), intelligent dialogues, a big mystery and a lot of action.

You might wonder how it is possible for a single path of this book to end up being so full of adventure that kept me glued to it until the (happy, thankfully, in my case) end.
And, this is exactly the magic of this book.
When you first open it, read the introduction and meet the characters you never imagine the completely unexpected  plot twists appearing before you, as well as the big journey you have just embarked on.

If you love interactive novels, this one won't disappoint you. On the contrary, it will prove to be a totally amazing experience.
If you haven't tried interactive novels before, or even if you do not usually enjoy them, I can assure you that this book is so full of story and intrigue and the fact that you can decide what you want your heroine to be, from a witty and intelligent woman to an adventure-seeking person travelling in the wildest places with the wildest people, will surely blow you away.

All in all, 5 stars because this was amazing and I want to wrap up the review because I can't get early enough back to this novel, 

explore all the possible options and head on new and exciting adventures.

         MY REVIEW: 


I don't even know where to start from! This novella included everything!

A feisty, strong and very clever heroine, a dark, brooding and extremely tempting hero, the palpable attraction between them, so much action right from the beginning, vampires, shifters, Kurjans (I had no idea what that was, either, before reading this story), passion and a great ethical dilemma the heroine had to go through.

But, let's get first things first...

Olivia is a journalist that has stumbled across a potential discovery that could prove extremely beneficial for her best friend Ronni who is gradually dying of a heart disease. Her source has claimed the existence of another species, more evolved and quite stronger, with 30 pairs of chromosomes on their DNA, instead of the normal 23. But, her information has threatened too many important people, resulting in her being hunted by humans, vampires, shifters and the aforementioned Kurjans!

Chalton, a vampire who has previously been involved in too many wars, to the point that is now sick of guns and prefers to work behind a computer, has been sent by the King of the Realm in order to protect Olivia until he finds out who her secret source is. His mission changes slightly when the young woman he is after proves to be tempting him in more than one ways! After finding out both of his brothers are also after Olivia, though, things start getting complicated.

And, what about Olivia's dilemma? Is Ronni, her sick best friend, going to be saved only by mating with Chalton? And, how are the two heroes going to take this fact, if that's the case?

A terrific story that doesn't let the reader feel bored, not even for one second!
The action keeps getting more and more intense, through the novella!

A fantastic read, that is a part of the Dark Protectors series, and only left me completely tempted to start these series, too!

All in all, 5 stars to a novella that more than tempted me 

to read the rest of the series, as well as other works by the author!

 Olivia stilled, her gaze meeting her savior’s as he landed on his feet, facing her. Except he didn’t look like a savior. Standing next to the van, his size became apparent. Well over six-feet tall, muscled and tight, with blond hair tied at the nape, he looked like an avenging...what? Not an angel. Definitely not an angel. He wore black slacks and an expensive looking button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up. One arm dripped blood from deep scratches, and he didn’t seem to notice. The crowd milled around, some passing by, some glancing into the van. But nobody existed except for the man. His face was an intriguing blend of hard angles: prominent jawline, slashes for cheekbones, high brows. Handsome in a too-sharp-to-be-real look. But those eyes...intelligent and knowing. She swallowed. There was no doubt he was allowing her to look her fill. Waiting and...allowing. What in the world? She breathed out, trying to slow her heart rate. Then her brain kicked back into gear, so she turned on a heel and ran. She tripped over a dog that scurried beneath a cart peddling roasting chestnuts. Run. She had to run. Sirens came from too far away, and she knew, somehow she just knew, that the blond guy wouldn’t let her talk to the cops. Her initial assessment about him was wrong because he couldn’t be a cop.
